Amsterdam

We spent the first night at the smart Radisson

The following day on the way to our hotel it started snowing what looked like polystyrene balls

We dropped our suitcases at the hotel and crossed to the mainland by ferry

Cars are made this small to drive onto the ferries

Nobody seems to pay much attention to this sign

Centraal Station and the gateway to the city

3 levels of bicycles

How could you possibly know where your bicycle is

Johann with the local transport

Oh dear, where to now?

A bright green bicycle

A Chinese Temple

A happy but cold St Bernard

De Waag

We had coffee at a happy coffee shop in the Jordaan

Angela enjoying her coffee

With the local rat...eeek!

Some of the houseboats have conservatories

Bloememark along the canal

Tulips tulips everywhere

These bulbs are huge

They just pull them out of the ground and sell them as is

Too many types of bulbs to choose from

An Architect's nightmare

More skew architecture

Slowly falling over

Even the window frames are crooked

Amsterdam Architecture

Bicycles in every shape and size

Anne Frank's House

In some areas business is booming

While in other areas the day is slow

We only saw 3 cats in 2 days

Picture perfect

Johann loved this

Some coffee by the canal-side

The Homo Monument

When in Amsterdam behave like a local

Amsterdam at dusk

A cosy kitty

On Sunday morning we woke up to a fairytale land covered in icing sugar

Johann left Amsterdam with a bang!
